Oh what to say about Championship Martial Arts. My son had been interested in starting martial arts for a while. I just didn't think it was something he would actually do and wasn't ready to spend the money He does not play any other sports and loves to sit and play videogames. Then Dec: '21 he is finding YouTube videos and trying to learn at home. Spring break '22 we were in vacation and he brings me his iPad and says "I want to go here, these reviews say it's the BEST karate school in Cary". Turns out that same karate school had been showing up in my Facebook feed. May '22 we signed him and his younger sister up for the two trial lessons. It's been a little over a year, 5 belts (almost 6) later and yes we can say the reviews are correct - Championship Martial Arts is the best in Cary. We love Shehan Jenny and all the instructors there. They all seem to enjoy working with kids and teaching them their passion for karate and are great with the kids. While they are group lessons everyone is paying attention to see if someone needs a little extra help and will pull them aside and work with them. This past May was the in-house tournament my son was a nervous wreck and didn't want to compete,so of course little sister was the same. Shehan Jenny talked with him after class about his nerves on night, but also told him how great he is and that she really wanted to see him out there and encouraged him. He signed up and came home with 3 trophies (sister came home with 2). He was still nervous, but glad he did it. We are definitely enjoying being part of this family and we're hoping to make it to two black belts. Come join us it's lots of fun!

I love this Dojo! The instructors are knowledgeable, patient and ,encouraging to all students. I feel very fortunate to be in the happy circumstance of being in the vicinity of such an excellent Karate school when I was looking for a place for my son. He absolutely loves it and I could not have asked for better. My father who studied Martial arts for over 40 years watched the instruction and students one time and gave Shihan Jenny the highest praise I have ever heard pass his lips. If you are looking for the best, look no further.

This is a great Dojo with a group of instructors that take the time to know each student’s name, specific goals and needs as well as their unique quirks. My kids have grown in strength, character, and self esteem.

I can't say enough good things about CMA. They have been fantastic with my 9-year old son who has been attending classes for about 8 months now. We have tried many sports and activities with him, and this is the first time he has been enthusiastic about any physical activity. He was nervous the first time, and I expected that to last for weeks. They quickly made him feel comfortable, and his confidence has blossomed. I am still amazed at the focus that he holds in the classes (something we struggle with in other areas!). For us, this dojo is the perfect combination of seriousness and fun as well as structure and flexibility. It's been a great fit for him!

Our son has attended classes at Championship Martial Arts for about 2 years and we couldn’t be happier. Shihan Jenny provides an environment of respect, caring, and fun! All of the instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. The schedule provides a lot of options for each belt level, which makes it easy to work around school, etc. Overall this is definitely the best experience we’ve had with an extra curricular activity for our son.

This dojo is amazing! My kids started at ages 5 and 7 and are now black belts. The master instructor (Shihan Jenny) is an incredible role model, and her team of instructors are top notch. The students learn fitness and forms along with discipline and character. We love how involved the families are, and how the classes include multiple skills levels and ages. My daughter has now joined the demo team and is competing in tournaments. My son is learning the art of Kendo. Their growth and learning continues in the supportive community at Championship Martial Arts.

Championship Martial Arts has been an amazing place to build and instill skills in my two young boys. They are learning discipline, courage, self-control, and most important of all confidence in themselves and their abilities. The entire staff is caring and motivating. I love seeing my kids pride in themselves when they learn a new form or master a new technique. This has been a wonderful environment for them and I’d highly recommend it to anyone searching for a dojo for their kids or even themselves if they want to start/jump back in as an adult.

This is a professional facility. The staff are energetic and passionate yet patient with grade school children. I love that the dojo doesn't push trying to make more money from the students by aggressively advertising birthdays parties, etc. This has been a warm and welcoming studio for my Son. He has thrived in learning discipline, focus and respect.

I'm not sure I can say enough good things about Shihan Jenny and all of the instructors at Championship Martial Arts. We started taking our son here a while back as another experience to try and see if he liked it. He loved it and he has worked his way up to purple belt with a very strong ambition to make black belt. They do a great job with not only instruction on form and moves, but also focus and physical exercise. They work so well with kids, pushing them just enough to help them achieve but never discouraging them. Our son feels comfortable there and eager to come for classes, and we hope to be bringing him here for many years to come!

Championship Martial Arts in Cary has been amazing for our 7 year old son and our family. He began classes virtually during the start of the pandemic and transitioned to outdoor and then finally indoor with masks. This is the first activity he has done that he cannot wait to attend, practices, and absolutely loves. The staff is amazing and works with us through anything we need. He has become more disciplined and is proud of his achievements as he works towards each belt. The instructors are so kind, patient and awesome. I cannot thank them enough.

For the past 3 1/2 years, we have had the privilege to be part of the CMA family. Watching my teen become a black belt in June is just the start for the acknowledgment she has given herself and the knowledge she has gained in that she is stronger than she believed and tougher than she thought! With the pandemic and their flawless shift to virtual workouts and the cancellation of baseball, my son started taking classes and now continues on excitedly taking on extra classes in specialized weapons. Words can not adequately express the gratitude our family has to Shihan Jenny, Sensei Christopher, Sensei Jessie, and the rest of the amazing instructors my kids have had the privilege to study under.

The 2021 summer's CMA camp was yet another great summer camp! My child ranks CMA camp as one of her all time favorite camps and will attend in the future. Thank you for making this summer's in-person camp possible and for making it not only safe, but also fun and engaging! We are so glad we found Championship Martial Arts (CMA)! We've been coming here for over 5 years and have enjoyed all that it offers. The location is great, the facility is clean, but the real benefit is the programming, the management, and instructors. My child adores Shihan Jenny and the fantastic instructors that are part of the team. Shihan Jenny is an amazing role-model for everyone, but we have noticed what a positive influence she has on young girls especially - she demonstrates confidence, respect, the value of confronting challenges with a can-do attitude, and shows kids how to appropriately stand-up for themselves. In addition to Shihan Jenny, the team of instructors bring out not only physical agility and coordination, but also personal confidence and a sense of community with the students at the dojo. CMA offers trial classes (which is how we got started) and lots of schedule choices for working parents. And if we miss a class, the management is very flexible with make-ups. We've also held our child's birthday party at CMA and it was, hands down, one of the best birthday parties we've had so far - it incorporated instruction for all the kids (no experience necessary), games, pizza, a samurai-sword cake cutting experience, and a board-breaking experience. Every kid got personal attention, exercised, and had a blast! We highly recommend Championship Martial Arts!

I have been attending adult classes here for just over a year and have nothing but great things to say about this dojo. The instructors are knowledgeable and the atmosphere is upbeat. I started classes thinking I was too out of shape but was never treated like I shouldn't be there. Shihan Jenny pushes us to work hard but also pushes us to have fun. If you want to get in shape, learn karate, and hang out with a fun group of adult students then this is the dojo for you!

My daughter has been going to Championship Martial Arts-Cary for just over a year now. It was the best decision we've made signing her up for classes here. Her confidence has really soared since beginning karate. Shihan Jenny and all of the instructors are awesome! It really feels like a family here ?

We just started attending Championship Martial Arts, but the experience has been great so far. My son really enjoys the classes and it is a delight to see him while in class. He is four years old and his classmates are in that age range. It is hard to believe how focused a group of little kids can be given the correct direction. I think this will really help my son focus and create some discipline at this early age.

CMA has been absolutely amazing for my son. The atmosphere and nurturing, yet challenging instructors have instilled pride, confidence, discipline, and fitness. Shihan Jenny and her team are second to none; they are phenomenal coaches, teachers, and masters of the craft-and make each session challenging and super fun at the same time! I recommend this experience to anyone from “little” to full-fledged Ninja!!

The team of instructors at CMA are unmatched! I haven't seen a group of educators who know more about martial arts and child development. The first day that we stepped foot in their door, I was so nervous because nobody had ever been able to reach my child before. He was always anxious and had never found an activity that he actually WANTED to participate in. He told me that he was not going to participate-only watch. We arrived and in less than 30 seconds, Shihan Jenny had him participating with the group AND he was enjoying it!
CMA has given my child such confidence. He has developed much better body control and awareness. He now tries to make up his own "forms" and teaches us every night. I cried from happiness the other day because he was so excited about going to his karate class. We have found something that he loves and has a passion for. I'm so grateful that we found this place and cannot recommend them enough!

I absolutely love this place. My son has been attending this dojo for almost a year now. All of the children are taught positive attributes such as courage, courtesy, and confidence and they all resonate with encouragement for others and respect for their parents and staff. I also attend personal training here and have been so impressed with how wonderful the whole CMA family is!

Shihan Jenny and her team of instructors help you dig deep to bring out your personal best, no matter your age. My daughter has been taking classes for 3 years and I've been there just over a year, our balance, coordination, health and confidence have improved dramatically. Championship Martial Arts is amazing! My two boys, now five and seven, have been enrolled in classes since they were three and a half years old. The instructors are highly skilled and Shihan Jenny is phenomenal with the students. Classes are structured, instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. We had several birthday parties at the dojo as well--and the boys loved it! My older son is taking classes almost daily and he would take multiple classes every day (he enjoys the classes that much!) Shihan Jenny has a way to motivate students to do their best and excel to their fullest potential. The integration of character traits into the karate curriculum is also impressive as the "Lesson of the Month" provides key life skills. I highly recommend Championship Martial Arts to anyone who is interested in the highest quality karate instruction available.

A fantastic, supportive, and focused environment. From the instructor, Shihan Jenny, down to the younger instructors, the staff is well trained and equipped to handle all ages. A great experience in learning self defense, confidence and training for the body and mind. Reasonable costs and well worth the time in seeing the classes teach sportsmanship and a valuable skill.

Shihan, Sempai’s and the other instructors and staff are great. Very quickly became a part of our family. Work very well with people from all ages (kids to adults). My 6 year old started when he was 5 and I have seen a much bigger difference in self control and respect. I too (along with my wife) joined as well and love it. I’m involved in several classes. Learn all types of techniques... from karate basics, self defense, katas to bushudo; and gets more challenging to push yourself in a non pressured way unlike other other dojos I have attended in my past or witnessed... not that CMA go easy on you AT ALL but they understand thresholds and capability and build from there and find what works best for you while still learning the tools you need to get you where you need to be. great in school tourneys, good for mind, body, and soul and a very positive atmosphere. Has helped my body recover from Medicsl issues as well as focusing my mind to get out of the day to day hassle we all deal with. Great release for stress, exercise, self defense and family atmosphere

I looked around quite a bit for a good karate studio for my son - we were looking for strength and decency, not just fighting. Most of the places I found were way more Cobra Kai than Mr. Miyagi, but one day we stopped in to the place beside our grocery store and found Championship Martial Arts. From the owner to the younger instructors, we found kind but serious, friendly but tough people that push my son in appropriate ways and require a lot from him - and he loves it. We also found a community of parents and long term students that is supportive and helpful. I wouldn't want to send my son anywhere else. I've often told people that if my kid ends up anything like the student instructors that are long term products of that program, that's okay with me.
